Every business card is printed in our Coolum Beach studio. Pick the thickness and the covering that suit your brand, and we will look after the rest, including the design if you would like a hand.
Thickness
How thick is thick?
Card weight is measured in gsm, grams per square metre. The higher the number, the thicker and stiffer the card.
- Standard · 350 gsm
- Our Every Day card. Firm, dependable and kind to your budget, with a choice of no coating or gloss coating.
- Extra thick · 420 gsm
- Our thickest single-sheet card. Substantial, rigid and made to be kept.
- Colour layer · 600 gsm
- Our thickest card of all. Layers are bonded together with a coloured seam between them, giving an ultra-thick 600 gsm card with a bold coloured edge. See Colour Layer Cards
Coverings
Gloss, matt or velvet?
A covering, called a cello, is a thin film bonded to the card. It protects the printing and sets how the card looks and feels.
- Gloss cello
- A shiny film that makes colours look bright and punchy. It shows fingerprints more than matt.
- Matt cello
- A smooth, flat film with no glare. Calm, modern and easy to read in any light.
- Velvet cello
- A soft-touch film with a velvety feel and a muted sheen. The one people stroke.
- One side or both
- A covering can go on the front only or on both sides. A card can also be gloss on the front and matt on the back.
- No covering
- A natural, uncoated surface with a paper feel. Available on request.
Not sure which card is right?
Standard size is 90 x 54 mm, with 90 x 55 mm also available. Rounded corners (3, 6, 10 or 24 mm) and drilled holes (3 to 8 mm) are available on request. Visit the studio to hold the stocks before you decide, or tell us what you need. 0409 484 393
